Ford Excursion Recall

For year 2001, car file report shows that 99 consumer complaints, 4 manufacturer recalls and 1 investigation were filed. 2000 files show 294 consumer complaints, 2 manufacturers recall, 156 Bulletin summaries and 3 investigations.In the year 2003, recalled Steeltex Radial A/T tires size LT265/75R16 produced for Ford Excursion caused three fatal accidents in the year 2002 and 2003. This tires were also connected to 14 sport utility vehicle accidents that resulted to the deaths of 5 people. However, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration decided not to reopen the investigation despite consumer's legal complaints.
