Ford Excursion Lift Kit
Lift kits are used for increased ride height, proper front suspension balance
and prevention of friction. For large heavy-duty truck like the 2WD Super Duty,
¼ inches thick brackets are connected to the vehicle’s stock I-beams and radius
arms to relocate the components with extended length coil springs. If the car
needs a little lift, Standard and Superunner lift kits may be used. Standard kits
use longer radius arm brackets instead of stock brackets.

Superunner kits use longer replacement radius arms than stock offering caster
correction. Powder-coated Softride springs may be added for smooth performance
system and increased corrosion resistance. It uses Teflon wear pads and a bolt
styled clip to reduce interleaf friction. For additional strength and increased
caster and offset design for greater tire clearance, performance system may be
utilized. Fabtech’s Performance system uses I-beam-drop brackets, tubular radius
arms, front coil springs, drop pitman arm, front and rear shocks and a rear block
kit. It gives low-friction upper ball joints with upper control arms which took
suspensions to a higher level. The 3.5 inches lift spindle needs no ball joint
or lower control arm modifications to retain front suspension balance.
