2004 Ford Excursion

2004 model is a nine-seater sport utility in 12 trims ranging from XLS 5.4L equipped
with a standard 5.4-liter, V8, 255-horsepower engine and the Limited 6.0L with
a standard 6.0-liter, v8, 325-horsepower, and turbo diesel engine. Both have A-5
speed automatic transmission. These diesel engines feature a Tow-Haul mode reaching
up to 11,000 pounds that can help the driver to control towing of large loads
in steep grades.
Although it commands respect because of its beastly size, its optional four-wheel
drive and all-terrain tires enables it to handle tough hilly roads, snowy and
slippery highways and other places that may seem inaccessible for heavy-duty pick-up.
Yet its huge size and weight disables easy maneuvering. Aside from these features,
the new engine has cleaner emissions and more-improved gas mileage. Added entertainment
systems include wireless headphone for the rear seat and an auto-dimming rearview
mirror.
