2002 Ford Excursion

Noteworthy changes of the 2002 version are power-adjustable brake and throttle pedals that move to and fro a few inches across the dashboard control. However these features are optional on XLT and XLT Premium models together with a seat and pedal memory feature. It uses V8 base engine with optional V10 and V8 turbo diesel. Four speeds automatic is the standard transmission for all models empowering the vehicle to tow a maximum of 11,000 lbs.

 

Unlike the other SUVs, the capacity is reduced to six spacious passenger's seat. Video entertainment system includes wireless headphones, DVD and VCR together with a 6-disc in-dash CD player. Safety and security is ensured through the Blocker beam front bumper under ride protection feature which minimizes the effects of collision with other small vehicles. Driver and passenger empowered air bags, three point seatbelts, child safety locks, child seat tethers and anchors are standard features inside. A remote keyless entry system with interior light activators together with crumple zones side impact door beams comes hand in hand with these features.
