2000 Ford Excursion

2000 models come in XLT and Limited levels of trim of 2000 both in two-wheel
and four- wheel drives. XLT features clothed interior that offer comfortable supports
for long drives and a high level of standard equipment while leather and a few
more staff are added to Limited Trim. There are three engines types used and all
of which are environment-friendly. They are the base model 5.4-liter Triton V8
rated at 260 hp with 4,500 rpm and 345 ft-lb of torque at 2,300 rpm; the 6.8-liter
Triton V10 rated at 300 hp with 4,250 rpm and 430 ft-lbs at 2000 rpm and the 7.3-liter
power stroke V8 diesel engine rated at 235 hp with 2,700 rpm and a monumental
500 ft-lb at 1,600 rpm.
All engines come standard with the 4R100 4-speed automatic transmission. Aside
from the comfort it gives, it ensures heavy-duty safety features tested and proven
during crash tests. It is designed with a new Blocker Beam system and a rear under
ride protection to reduce the risk of injury especially during front and rear
collisions
